Diet Week end in Portugal

Hi All,

Sorry I'm late. On the train to work today, had to recall last week end in Algarve.

As I was down there on my own, I thought I could finally do some diet to lose some weight. I arrived at 2pm at my parents' empty flat ( they're in Luxembourg ), when my mobile rang. It was Miguel, "the squash specialist" ( my old "squash" story can be found in the Mail Archive dd 20/02/01 ). "Do you want grilled sardines? -Why not? -Then move your behind over here." And off I went and spent 2 hours with Miguel in a restaurant near Praia da Gale.

In the evening it was my aunt Fernanda's turn to offer me dinner ( fantastic pork fillets with clams, yummie ), and on Sunday I had Miguel "bugging me" again with an invite to a sort of lunch/dinner thing on the beach. No idea what that would be, but OK off I went again. In the end we were 14 nutters having 8 kilos of giant prawns on the beach until....1am. Well they did, I only "lasted" until 11...

Monday then I had some business to sort out, and afterwards Miguel, my good old Miguel and Silvio drove me to Faro airport. I checked in, and as my plane was only leaving after 1 1/2 hours, those guys took me to the "Ilha de Faro", a small island off the airport, where we had the local speciality "arroz de lingueirao", rice with some sea food I couldn't explain in English ( knives? ). No wonder I didn't take any sandwich on the flight back.

And this was my Portuguese diet week end. Thank you Miguel, you b*****d, I love Algarve, but I hate you!!!

A Poem written by an African :

Dear white fella!
Somethings you should know

When I was born, I black
When I grow up, I black
When I go in sun, I black
When I cold, I black
When I scared, I black
When I mad, I black
When I sick, I black
And when I die, I still black.

You white fella!
When you born, you pink
When you grow up, you white
When you go in sun, you brown
When you cold, you blue
When you scared, you yellow
When you mad, you red
When you sick, you green
And when you die, you grey.
And you have the fuckin nerve to call me colored

Thanks Kim
