I'm back! I was in Ireland on Friday, and in Portugal over the week end. I saw my aunt Fernanda there.
Aunt Fernanda ( or Tia Fernanda in Portuguese ) is my mother's sister. She's 66, and a living example of one of my family's "character speciality": the selective ear! But, as our technical team in Finland says when talking about our software, this is not a bug, it's a feature, haha. What do I mean with "selective ear"? Last summer a new giant shopping centre opened in Algarve. For days before the opening the radio bombarded listeners with advertisement about it. One of the slogans went like this: "...The giant low price wave will submerge the Algarvian coast on Sunday. Watch out!" Tia Fernanda's selective ear decided to "ignore" the words "low price", so it is no wonder she contacted my dad in panic, wondering if she should move out of Albufeira, "...until after the big wave has hit our coasts". So no worries if I misunderstand a lot of things sometimes: it's in my genes.
Have a nice day
Husband and wife had a bitter quarrel on the day of their 40th wedding anniversary. The husband yells, "When you die, I'm getting you a headstone that reads, 'Here Lies My Wife - Cold As Ever'." "Yeah" she replies,"When you die, I'm getting you a headstone that reads,'Here Lies My Husband - Stiff At Last."
